Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within an EMI/EMC team to prevent and resolve electromagnetic compatibility challenges throughout product development, subsystem integration, and railway system implementation.
  • Apply a thorough engineering mindset to understand EMI/EMC constraints throughout the V-cycle.
  • Engage in various tasks including design, specifications, reporting, testing (both in situ and laboratory), project oversight, and participation in project meetings.
  • Oversee the management of EMI/EMC requirements throughout the entire project lifecycle, ensuring compliance during both design and testing phases.
  • Identify, manage, and resolve EMI/EMC interface issues between subsystems, such as between signaling systems and rolling stock.
  • Conduct technical analyses and simulations related to EMI/EMC, including voltage induction and human exposure assessments.
  • Execute verification activities for EMI/EMC documentation in accordance with the Verification and Validation Plan.
  • Plan and carry out on-site System EMI/EMC testing.
  • Contribute to resolving EMI/EMC issues by supervising technical analyses and measurements, including on-site surveys.
  • Participate in EMI/EMC laboratory testing for equipment to ensure adherence to design requirements.
  • Assist in EMI/EMC on-site testing of subsystems to verify compliance with established design standards.
  • Prepare technical documentation related to EMC.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Expertise in EMC for Railway and Metro Systems Engineering.
  • Proficient in Requirements Management & Development, as well as Interface Management concerning EMI/EMC.
  • Background in electrical system engineering and electronic engineering.

Desired Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience in project leadership.
  • Familiarity with railway signaling systems, including Master System STS such as CBTC, ERTMS, TVM, SEI, etc.

Education and Qualifications

Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications Engineering.

Language Proficiency

• English - Proficient
• Italian
