About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Specialist to join our team at Bottega Veneta Logistica S.r.l. as a Knitwear and Jersey Product Developer. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of knitwear construction, fabric properties, and garment manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support design in feasibility, staying up-to-date on trends, and suggesting styles from a product perspective while considering merchandising input and consistency in the assigned category.
  • Coding of models, compilation of bills of materials, and transfer of information to suppliers.
  • Processing of data related to prototype and BOM development (PLM System).
  • Support in management of PLM System (data entry, amendments, updates, etc).
  • Support in management of requests from the Design team (insertion in the system, updating on the collection board, etc).
  • Participate in meetings with external stakeholders to review materials and collect relevant data for a smooth and linear advancement of the collection.
  • Manage the prototyping and sampling phase until putting products into production, ensuring that design directions, briefs, and expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with Industrialization and Production Team to share information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure that budget allocations, collection timing, deliver requests, and final price targets are respected.
  • Support in materials research for yarn and jersey fabrics.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of experience as a Product Developer within the Fashion industry (preferably with a focus on knitwear and jersey products).
  • Strong understanding of knitwear construction, fabric properties, and garment manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent project management skills, including prioritization, timeline management, and cross-functional team coordination.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality, with the ability to conduct thorough fit and quality assessments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations (compliance standards and practices related to apparel manufacturing).
  • Proficiency in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
  • Fluent in English and Italian (both written and spoken).
