About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Development Specialist to join our team at Acqua di Parma. As a key member of our Product Development team, you will be responsible for supporting the development of new products and upgrades, ensuring that our packaging meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new product development and upgrades, focusing on cost savings, efficiency, quality, and complaint reduction.
  • Contract Manufacturers Management: Manage contract manufacturers, including planning and execution of making, filling, and packing within cost and time constraints.
  • Packaging Development and Upgrades: Develop and upgrade packaging, including defining KPIs and selecting packaging materials.
  • Packaging Components Production Planning: Plan and execute packaging components production within cost and time constraints.
  • Supply Chain Management: Define the full supply chain, including searching for new suppliers and contract manufacturers, and managing existing partners for raw materials and new process technologies.
  • Packaging Specifications Generation: Generate packaging specifications and supervise qualification and validation tests.
  • Cost Management: Collect pack and product costs to produce the complete cost card from initial estimate to suppliers' offer.
  • CapEx Budget Management: Manage CapEx budget for packaging-related tooling.
  • Liaison with Suppliers: Liaise with the Product Development team and suppliers for sampling and mock-ups requests linked to new product developments.

Requirements:

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of the interrelationship of product, process, and packaging, including knowledge of technical dossier creation processes and technical specification files.
  • Packaging Materials Knowledge: Broad knowledge of packaging materials (paper, glass, plastic) and corresponding suppliers.
  • Project Management Skills: Excellent project management skills, flexibility, and collaboration attitude, with the ability to work under stress.
  • Luxury Attitude: Luxury attitude and sensitivity to product quality.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English, with additional languages a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Good level of use of MS Excel, MS Project, and ERP systems (SAP).
