Job Summary

We are seeking a Product Packaging Regulations Senior Specialist to join our DuPont Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs team. This role will be responsible for monitoring product packaging requirements in the Europe (EMEA), US, Canada, Latin America, interpreting them based on DuPont product lines, and supporting corporate-level product packaging compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Serve as the single point of contact for DuPont businesses to ensure product packaging regulatory compliance.
    • Frame and monitor the regulatory packaging requirements and compliance obligations in EMEA and Americas regions.
  • Business Impact Assessment
    • Assess the business impact of relevant product packaging compliance regulations/requirements based on region/country and packaging material in scope of DuPont's range of products.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Update DuPont business teams on new/upcoming requirements to stay ahead of regulatory changes and minimize compliance risks.
    • Establish a community of practices around packaging requirements.
  • Compliance Cross-Functional Processes
    • Coordinate DuPont businesses in compliance cross-functional processes and reporting.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Drive continuous improvement of company-wide product packaging standards, guidance, and practices.
  • Strategic Compliance Planning
    • Define and develop a strategic compliance plan related to emerging packaging regulations (design, recycled content, recyclability).
  • Training and Development
    • Develop and implement a training plan related to Packaging/EPR for different internal stakeholders.
  • Industry Representation
    • Serve as the DuPont focal point for national authorities and EPR schemes (eco-organisms).
    • Represent DuPont in relevant industry association working groups.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (chemical, mechanical, or packaging preferred) or physical science (chemistry, material science preferred).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in product packaging preferred.
  • Demonstrated background in regulatory compliance, including interpretations and action planning.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and organized; able to simultaneously work on multiple assignments and to work independently as well as on teams.
  • Fluency in English and German, French preferred.
