Volleyball Coach Assistant Job Description

Job Summary:

The Volleyball Coach Assistant will provide support to the Head Coach in the day-to-day operations of the volleyball program. This includes assisting with practice planning, game preparation, and team management.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Coach in planning and leading practices and games
  • Help with team management, including scheduling, communication, and organization
  • Support the Head Coach in making decisions regarding team selection, player development, and game strategy
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping, reporting, and communication with parents and officials
  • Help to maintain a positive and respectful team culture
  • Assist with fundraising and community outreach efforts
  • Support the Head Coach in developing and implementing a comprehensive coaching plan
  • Assist with the recruitment and retention of student-athletes
  • Help to ensure compliance with all school and district policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Knowledge of volleyball rules and regulations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Working Conditions:

The Volleyball Coach Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The position requires excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience working with youth sports programs is preferred.

Physical Demands:

The Volleyball Coach Assistant will be required to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and travel to away games and tournaments.
