About the Role
- We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team in Italy, responsible for identifying, targeting, and securing business opportunities for our products in the country.
- The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for the air charter, aviation, freight forwarding, logistics, or travel sector, and have a strong ability to build relationships, manage accounts, and provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement sales strategies and related business objectives throughout the country in alignment with the Cargo Sales Manager EU and the Director GSA.
- Collaborate with broker teams to develop country-specific plans that align with existing sales strategies and sustain relationships with both current and new clients, as well as suppliers, to generate additional business.
- Monitor monthly progress against sales strategy and report bi-monthly to the Cargo Sales Manager EU and the Director GSA, identifying any issues or concerns and making suitable recommendations.
- Proactively scout opportunities to expand business in the country across new and existing markets to achieve business goals.
- Keep abreast of competitor activities to pinpoint business opportunities.
- Work closely with local broker departments by furnishing them with pertinent information and supporting them during the brokering process.
- Visit potential, new, and existing clients to cultivate additional business.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with key clients and new business leads to maximize business prospects and enhance client loyalty in an industry where retaining clients is a continuous effort.
- Drive sales activities for all products targeting customers/freight forwarders from both a regional and local perspective.
- Continuously scout for new operators/suppliers (carriers) to establish essential relationships and achieve a continuous augmentation in active clients.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in the aviation industry.
- Based in Italy, with a willingness to travel to Torino occasionally.
- Proficient in Italian and English with effective operational command.
- Familiarity with the local market.
- Background in the aviation industry.
- Team player mentality to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong abilities in building relationships, account management, and providing top-notch customer service.
- Capability to effectively juggle client needs with business objectives.
