HVAC Technician

We are seeking a skilled HVAC mechanic to join our team at the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR). As an HVAC mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairing and servicing cooling and refrigeration equipment, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs
• Diagnose problems and malfunctions in cooling and refrigeration equipment
• Schedule and plan maintenance-related projects, including material lists and equipment needs
• Conduct inspections and evaluate inmate worker performance
• Maintain records and complete documentation as required

• Four years of journey-level experience inspecting, servicing, repairing, and installing cooling/refrigeration equipment/systems
• HVAC certification at time of appointment
• Ability to work in a prison environment and lift/carry 50lbs
