Solenis, a leading global producer of specialty chemicals, is seeking a skilled Key Account Manager to join our team in Italy.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in the Tuscany region, covering the Pulp & Paper industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding market penetration in the assigned region and customers, developing business development strategies, and creating sales plans to reach required business objectives and revenue.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing sales plans on new opportunities, including documenting ROI and value delivery.
  • Establishing and maintaining accurate and current sales funnels, managing profitability of accounts, and reviewing territory applications and processes for safety improvements.
  • Achieving customer satisfaction, resulting in optimal retention of existing business and growth of new business.
  • Maintaining and developing customer relations with new and existing customers.

Requirements include:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field, or relevant years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Preferably some previous experience in the Process industry, with a focus on metals, pulp and paper, or mining.
  • Fluent Italian and good English language skills.
  • Customer focus, ability to fulfill customer needs and expectations, and professional and confident communication skills.
  • Delivering results, passionate about success, and delivering operational excellence, while sharing best practice.
  • Ability to make independent decisions, work flexibly, and have a high degree of self-motivation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a true service attitude.
