Job Description

As a Firmware Engineer at Wabtec, you will be responsible for developing firmware for pneumatic systems, working closely with the Product Electronic Engineering Leader. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing test firmware for pneumatic systems
  • Collaborating with the team during product validation
  • Supporting the development of test and product specifications
  • Managing technical claims from the field
  • Providing inter-functional support for analysis and resolution of technical issues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python on 8, 16, and 32-bit architectures
  • Basic knowledge of electronics
  • Familiarity with common IDEs and debuggers
  • Knowledge of primary tools for diagnosing and debugging electronic systems
  • Good command of the English language
  • Motivation to learn and contribute innovative ideas
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary and multinational teams
  • Determination and creativity in tackling complex problems
  • Availability for short trips within the national territory
Preferred Qualifications
