Join Wabtec's Team as a Firmware Engineer

Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions and value-added services for freight and transit rail. As a Firmware Engineer, you will be part of a team that develops innovative solutions for the rail industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop firmware for pneumatic systems
  • Collaborate with the product electronic engineering team to ensure seamless integration
  • Develop and implement test firmware for pneumatic systems
  • Support the validation process of products
  • Manage technical claims from the field
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for analysis and resolution of technical issues
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in programming languages C, C++, and Python on 8, 16, and 32-bit architectures
  • Basic knowledge of electronics
  • Familiarity with common IDEs and debuggers
  • Knowledge of primary tools for diagnosis and debugging of electronic systems
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Motivation to learn and contribute innovative ideas
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary and multinational teams
  • Determination and creativity in tackling complex problems
  • Availability for short trips within the national territory
