Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Interface & Risk Manager to join our development and execution team for our Italian offshore wind projects. As an Interface & Risk Manager, you'll be responsible for managing technical interfaces between work packages, coordinating with internal team members and contractors, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing risk management processes.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Interface Management
  • Establish interface management plans, processes, and tools, including registers and reporting.
  • Manage internal and external sources of information and technical interfaces.
  • Define clear roles, limits, and scope of work matrices for all contractors to limit conflicts.
  • Support the development and implementation of engineering solutions for interface conflicts.
  • Facilitate and coordinate interface meetings both internally and externally.
  • Actively engage with the supply chain and provide technical support to the procurement department as required.
  • Support the commercial team to ensure clarity on interfaces between contracts.
  • Support the scheduler in aligning contractor interfaces in the schedule.
  • Supervise and manage engineering framework contracts to ensure optimal technical consistency between technical work packages and that they are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Maintain effective and systematic coordination of offshore work packages to ensure technical consistency and quality, and produce reports as necessary during the project.
  • Promote and work within project management, health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures, and actively manage safety and personal welfare throughout the project.
Risk Management
  • Create project risk strategies, prepare and implement a risk management plan, and drive risk management in compliance with project policies.
  • Manage risk management processes, including planning and identifying risks, performing qualitative and quantitative analyses, planning risk responses, monitoring, and controlling risks.
  • Implement risk workshops with project teams, suppliers, and internal interfaces within the respective projects.
  • Prepare risk reports and analyses to support management in decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain a project risk register, response plan templates, and other documentation, together with the wider project team.
  • Train risk owners in risk management and proactively work in project teams to develop risk mitigation actions.
  • Identify best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, tools, and templates.
  • Determine the project budget contingency.
  • Communicate the risk strategy within the projects and organization.

Requirements

We're looking for a degree-qualified professional with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience or previous proven experience in a risk management environment. You should have a working understanding of an integrated risk management process (risk, cost, and schedule) on large programs or projects. Excellent communication skills in Italian and English are essential.
