About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Center Operations Specialist to join our Engineering and Facilities team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of our electrical and mechanical infrastructure in our Data Centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety: Ensure the highest safety standards are maintained and promote a world-class safety culture. Identify and remediate safety risks and issues in conjunction with other teams.
  • Engineering and Facility Operations and Maintenance: Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking. Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess professional or formal Electrical Certification or Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical field. Demonstrate key electrical competencies (Practice & Theory) and knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls).
Requirements
  • Professional or formal Electrical Certification or Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical field
  • Very good command of English
  • Data Center/mission critical engineering experience (preferred)
  • Willing to travel between data center sites, and internationally if required
  • Driving license valid in Italy
