Role Overview

Ruby on Rails Software Engineer

Location: Vicenza, Milan

We are seeking a highly skilled Ruby on Rails Software Engineer with a robust background in web application development. The ideal candidate should possess a keen interest in system integration, as well as experience with both relational and document-oriented databases. A passion for modular development and a commitment to exploring new technologies is essential.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with various teams at Develon, including developers, project managers, and system engineers, to work on diverse projects for international clients. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities, a focus on system optimization, and strong functional analysis skills.

Additionally, the candidate must exhibit proficiency in debugging and reverse engineering to support the evolution and maintenance of existing applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to assess user and project requirements
  • Strong team collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Functional Analysis
  • Enthusiasm for new technologies and methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Self-management and coordination skills
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles
  • Strong knowledge of Ruby programming language
  • Expertise in Rails framework and Rubygems
  • Familiarity with Boilerplates and CSS Frameworks (HTML5, Bootstrap, Bulma)
  • Understanding of Webpack and its associated plugins
  • Proficient in relational and/or document-oriented databases (MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB)
  • Competent in version control systems (Git)

Preferred Qualifications
