About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled High-Performance IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Abb Schweiz Ag. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a challenging role and contribute to the success of our organization.

Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. This includes managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy, as well as overseeing the virtualization infrastructure, primarily focusing on VMware. Additionally, the candidate will automate routine tasks using PowerShell scripting and ensure system security through best practices and regular updates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop, and Implement Windows Server Solutions: Design, develop, and implement Windows server solutions in line with company standards.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy: Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy to ensure seamless access and authentication for users.
  • Virtualization Infrastructure Management: Oversee the virtualization infrastructure, primarily focusing on VMware, to ensure efficient resource utilization and high-performance computing.
  • Automation and Scripting: Automate routine tasks using PowerShell scripting to reduce manual effort and increase productivity.
  • System Security and Maintenance: Ensure system security through best practices and regular updates, and manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
  • Documentation and Communication: Document processes and maintain system documentation, and provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 3 years' experience as a Windows Infrastructure Engineer or similar role. You should be qualified in Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS, and have strong knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance. Additionally, you should have knowledge of virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware) and experience with network protocols, firewalls, and security practices. A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field is also required.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
