Job Summary:

Element Solutions Inc is seeking a seasoned Operations Director to lead our Chemicals business in Europe. This role will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of our regional Chemical Production sites to ensure compliance with internal and external safety, quality, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Management: Oversees and directly manages site managers within the region, ensuring alignment with company objectives and standards.
  • Budget Management: Manages all manufacturing and logistics costs (OPEX), capital expenditures (CAPEX), and working capital for the region, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensures manufacturing facilities operate at the highest environmental, health, and safety standards, complying with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Supply Chain Management: Prepares and submits monthly reports on supply chain performance, collaborating closely with the supply chain team to optimize regional operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promotes a culture of continuous improvement in quality performance, facilitating the sharing of lessons learned and optimizing operations.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in a science or engineering discipline.
  • 8 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the Operations field.
  • Experience managing Quality in complex, varied manufacturing processes.
  • Proven experience of Lean and Six Sigma Continuous Improvement techniques.
