Project Overview

Aventa is seeking a highly skilled Project Installation Specialist to contribute to the decarbonization of the economy by working on the largest offshore wind farm and interconnector projects worldwide.

Role Definition

We are actively looking to hire a Project Installation Specialist for offshore projects in the Mediterranean area, with experience in method statements and installation procedures to cover the following:

  • Act as a technical interface with clients for document preparation and review.
  • Provide technical expertise as a point of contact for scopes of work within the project.
  • Report to the Installation Department on the outcome of meetings and technical discussions.
  • Evaluate and critically assess technical and contractual information.
  • Analyze and understand customer technical challenges and develop solutions.
  • Develop technical design solutions against client scopes of work.
  • Utilize engineering tools and techniques to overcome challenges and ensure effective project delivery.
  • Develop technical procedures for installing cables in the offshore marine environment.
  • Ensure that the engineering technical solution provision is best-in-class and effective in terms of cost, quality, and safety.

Engineering Responsibilities

  • Cable burial risk assessment (CBRA).
  • Route Engineering.
  • Burial assessment study (BAS).
  • Survey works.
  • Cable installation works.
  • Pre-sweeping/dredging works.
  • Mattress installation works.
  • Rock placement (rock dumping).
  • Trenching works.
  • Cable pull-in at landfall and at offshore substation.

Qualification Requirements

  • Proficiency in Autocad software is mandatory.
  • Fluency in Italian and English is required.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering Technology or a related field is an advantage.
  • Excellent word processing skills are necessary.
  • Experience with GIS software is a plus.
