Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join our Infectious Disease Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing experiments to support our drug discovery activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the development of strategies to achieve project objectives in a timely and efficient manner.
- Design and execute experiments using various cell and molecular biology techniques to validate hypotheses and identify potential therapeutic targets.
- Analyze and communicate scientific data with clear interpretation of results to inform project decisions.
- Establish and maintain productive working relationships with team members to ensure seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain high laboratory standards with regard to quality and safety to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Utilize cellular biology techniques such as mammalian cell culture and cell transfection to support drug discovery activities.
- Apply standard molecular and biochemistry procedures including PCR, qPCR, protein and nucleic acid manipulation to analyze and interpret data.
- Experience with gene editing technologies such as CRSPR/Cas9 is highly desirable.
- Develop outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills are essential to effectively communicate scientific data and results to both internal and external stakeholders.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist with a strong background in molecular and cell biology. The ideal candidate will have a MSc degree in Biological Science or a related field, with a PhD in Molecular/Cell Biology or at least 3+ years of relevant research experience in an academic or industrial environment.
The successful candidate will be based at IRBM S.p.A.'s headquarters in Pomezia, Italy.
