About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Thales Alenia Space. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components for our space-related projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other tools.
  • Analyse and simulate mechanical systems to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with other systems and components.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports to support design and testing activities.
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and processes to improve mechanical design and testing capabilities.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in the aerospace or defence industry.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software, such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
