Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

RINA is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join its team in Milano, Italy. As a key member of the Materials & Technologies Division, you will be responsible for designing and developing 3D models and detailed drawings using CATIA V5.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop complex assemblies and parts to meet project specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize product designs.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to ensure design integrity and performance.
  • Generate and manage technical documentation, including design reports and BOMs.
  • Perform tolerance analysis and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical support throughout the product development cycle.
  • Ensure compliance with project timelines and deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, structural analysis, and materials.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD software CATIA v5 (mandatory).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Previous working experience in aerospace or avionic sector.
  • Appreciated knowledge and experience in FEM tools and algorithms implementation through Python programming language and/or Matlab.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated capability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
