Functional Area: Business Development

RWE Renewables Italia is seeking a Project Manager to join its Origination and Development team in Rome, Italy. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing business development and stakeholder engagement projects to support the development of onshore wind, PV, and battery storage projects in Italy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a dynamic network of national and local stakeholders to establish partnerships with multipliers, such as trade associations, consortiums, companies, and agencies, for the development of our projects.
  • Manage key partnerships with strategic stakeholders to generate leads and boost origination opportunities for the Development team.
  • Collaborate with Development Project Managers to support ad hoc origination and development projects.
  • Identify and manage initiatives or events to showcase RWE standards and maximize business opportunities.
  • Manage RWE presence at main national tradeshows, such as K.EY, coordinating different departments and external service providers.
  • Liaise with the Communications team to develop information material and communication tools as needed by the Dev team and for ad-hoc events.
  • Project manage initiatives dedicated to our main local stakeholders, including schools, authorities, and the general public, by designing and delivering to promote the renewables culture nationwide.
  • Nurture a network of contacts on a national and local level, including education institutions, local authorities, and civil society.
  • Support Development Project Managers in managing ad-hoc stakeholder initiatives, such as implementation of community products and sponsorships, from activation to implementation.
  • Support reporting, evaluation, and analysis, liaising with central internal functions and/or external consultants.
  • Manage external partners, service providers, and suppliers.
  • Liaise with the Communications team to develop information material and communication tools to boost knowledge dissemination, internal and external as needed.
  • Communicate initiatives proactively and effectively within the company, disseminating progress/findings and gathering additional ideas.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of approximately 3-4 years of relevant project management experience in coordinating initiatives of stakeholder engagement, such as educational, communications, marketing, or public relations related, ideally in the Energy, Technology, or Innovation fields.
  • University degree or Master's degree in communications, marketing, and public relations or related fields.
  • Manage and optimize project budgets, objectives, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Preferable knowledge of the Italian renewables market.
  • Creative 'outside the box' thinker.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Solution-oriented, highly motivated, self-starter, confident, and resourceful.
  • Excellent Italian and English.
  • Willingness for regular travel within Italy.
