Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate cost models for materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Analyze product cost structures to identify cost drivers and develop strategies for cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with procurement to negotiate favorable supplier terms and evaluate quotes for competitiveness.
  • Facilitate value engineering workshops to promote innovative and cost-effective design alternatives.
  • Train and mentor teams on cost models, fostering a cost-conscious culture within the organization.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems using quantitative methods.
  • Effective deployment of cost engineering and influencing teams, with critical thinking skills and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Relevant educational background, preferably in mechanical engineering.
  • 1-3 years of experience in product development with a focus on cost/value engineering.
  • Practical knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong networking, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
