Job Title: Cost Engineer for Electronic Components

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer to join our team at Alpitronic. As a Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining precise cost models, providing accurate cost estimates, and analyzing cost data to identify cost drivers and trends.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain cost models covering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates for new designs and engineering changes.
  • Analyze cost data to identify cost drivers and trends and develop strategies for cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with procurement to negotiate favorable supplier terms and evaluate quotes for competitiveness.
  • Facilitate value engineering workshops to promote innovative and cost-effective design alternatives.
  • Train and mentor teams on cost models, fostering a cost-conscious culture within the organization.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems using quantitative methods.
  • Skill in deploying cost engineering effectively and influencing teams.
  • Expertise in active and passive components is essential.
  • Proficiency in project management methods.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product development with a focus on cost/value engineering.
  • Broad business knowledge for effective cross-discipline interactions.
  • Strong leadership abilities to drive change and challenge the organization.
  • Practical knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong networking, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Critical thinking skills and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
