About the Role:

The Country Financial Controller Italy is responsible for leading all financial planning and reporting activities for the Italy region. This role will analyze the business financial strengths and weaknesses, propose and implement corrective actions with business partners to improve core value drivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide proactive financial advice and value-adding business partner support
  • Coordinate country functional leaders for the on-time, effective, and efficient execution of planning and forecasting and management reporting
  • Own and drive annual budgeting and monthly planning, forecasting, reporting, and variance analyses, including commentaries for all important KPIs in the country
  • Prepare and coordinate all review meetings in close collaboration with the Commercial Leader of Italy
  • Perform detailed analytical review of Italian Commercial P&L & Working Capital (Sales, Margins, Expenses, Working Capital) and Full P&L
  • Provide quantitative analysis, project management, and tracking of key initiatives and metrics, including pricing and growth initiatives
  • Support Italian leadership team with respect to Pricing initiatives, Business Modeling, and Business Partnering for specific functions
  • Liaise with European Finance Team for planning, forecasting, reporting, and variance analyses processes
  • Lead as a Finance Business Partner in an international matrix organization
Requirements:
  • University degree with specialization in Finance / Accounting / Economics
  • Solid relevant work experience (e.g., coming from a Big 4 and/or CA or CPA experience)
  • Previous responsibility for full P&L, analyzing revenue and gross/operating profit margin, and deep knowledge and experience in Business Performance Controlling with thorough understanding of business in a dynamic multinational environment
  • Extensive use of financial reporting tools, MS Office (Excel advanced level), and ERP systems and tools (Oracle, EPM, OBI, PowerBI)
  • Good communication and teamworking skills with fluency in Italian and English, both spoken and written
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a large multinational environment and ability to interact with senior management with the capability to present and explain financial data and analysis in a clear and concise manner
  • Natural bias towards continuous improvement
  • Exposure to PSP/Kaizen methodologies is considered an advantage
