Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Plant Designer. This role involves a comprehensive approach to the planning and oversight of various plant systems within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and management of plant-related projects, ensuring both routine and exceptional maintenance practices are upheld.
  • Act as the construction manager for job orders, coordinating activities to ensure successful project completion.

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or a relevant Professional Diploma.
  • Registered with the Order of Engineers or a similar professional body, with the authority to sign off on projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and safety systems.
  • Familiarity with the management of authorization processes for plant systems.
  • Understanding of the Procurement Code and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in graphic design applications and quantity surveying.
  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within a research environment.
  • Fluent in English, with strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • Minimum of three years in site design and management, particularly in public procurement contexts.
  • Knowledge of fire prevention standards.
  • Certification to act as a safety coordinator during project phases.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong motivation for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, international environment.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
