Job Overview

The Purchasing Coordinator plays a crucial role in the procurement/purchasing department, responsible for the daily administration of procurement functions, including accurate and timely financial reporting and performance reports in close collaboration with various departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze market trends and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms for requisition and delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to assess procurement needs and ensure profitability and cost-effective operations.
  • Manage purchase orders, maintain relationships with suppliers, and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels.
  • Resolve issues related to shipment errors, quality discrepancies, and invoice mismatches.
  • Oversee accounting staff training and development concerning the procurement process, software, and best practices.
  • Assist with monitoring, assessing, and maintaining internal controls and corporate policies and procedures to meet deadlines and achieve operational goals.
  • Support management in controlling costs within the budget and forecast.
  • Prepare and assist with monthly forecasting and assist with the completion of the annual budgeting process.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
Requirements
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent knowledge of Italian and English to interact with vendors, internal stakeholders, and team members.
  • Education and/or experience in business administration and development, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of or experience with Microsoft Office and procurement software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
