About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Designer to join our team in Castello D'Agogna, Italy.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing machines adapted to customer needs, working closely with engineers, designers, and other teams. They will also discuss design with purchasing, production, and service departments.

Responsibilities

  • Design concepts in 3D-CAD for chillers, cooler layouts, and components, including piping, castings, machine parts, sheet metal, etc.
  • Create detailed designs in 2D.
  • Perform first strength analysis on designs if experienced in FEA (Finite Element Analysis).
  • Follow up on designs throughout different phases.
  • Delegate repetitive and standard designs to internal design studios.
  • Set up instructions and technical specifications applying standards and legislations.
  • Support other departments with technical information.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, bills of material, purchase specifications, and technical agreements.
  • Release final designs, documentation, and instructions for production in the PLM system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience.
  • Fluent in Italian and good command of English.
  • Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Affinity with mechanical design and calculations/simulations.
  • Pragmatic, effective, and goal-oriented individual.
  • Ability to set priorities and work independently.
  • Team player and motivated individual.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, depending on location and qualifications.
