About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary and international environment, collaborating with experts in physics, chemistry, and biomedicine to develop novel bioelectronics devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and characterize printed biosensors based on Electrolyte Gated Organic Field Effect Transistors (EGOFETs) for cardiac troponin detection.
- Develop functionalization protocols for the bio-recognition layer.
Requirements
- PhD in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science, or equivalent in Biomedical or Electronic Engineering.
- Proven laboratory skills in the fabrication and characterization of carbon-based or organic transistors.
- Previous experience in bio-functionalization of surfaces, such as gold electrodes or semiconductors, is a plus.
- A strong publication record and ability to properly report, organize, and publish research data.
- Documented experience in coaching junior scientists.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
Additional Information
- The position is part of the PathFinder EU project "IV-Lab", aiming to develop a multi-sensing device implantable in blood vessels for monitoring patients with heart failure.
- Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment, contributing to the development of innovative bioelectronics technologies.
