About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Project Manager to join our Global IT Operations Division in Genoa or Rome, Italy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering data solutions that meet the business needs and align with our data strategy and governance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate data management and analytics projects across our organization, ensuring that they meet the scope, quality, and budget requirements.

  • Work with various stakeholders, including business users, data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists, to define the project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

  • Manage the project budget, schedule, resources, risks, and quality, ensuring that the project follows best practices and standards for data management and analytics.

  • Apply best practices and methodologies for project management, data analysis, and financial reporting, and analyze and interpret data from various sources to provide insights and recommendations to support decision making and problem solving.

  • Propose solutions in data and analytics sector in adherence to the company needs.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in managing IT projects, preferably in data management and analytics.

  • Strong knowledge of data management and analytics concepts, tools, and methodologies, such as data modeling, data integration, data warehousing, data lake, data governance, data catalog, data lineage, data quality, data security, data ethics, data visualization, and data storytelling.

  • Hands-on experience with data management and analytics platforms and technologies, such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Purview, Apache Parquet, Power BI, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Analysis Services, and Azure Machine Learning.

  • Certification in project management, such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile, is a plus.
