Position Overview

The Electrical Project Manager is accountable for overseeing all activities related to electrical engineering within a project, ensuring adherence to the allocated budget, project timeline, and technical specifications while optimizing costs. This role involves leading a team of specialists and engineers designated for the project, reporting to the Project Engineering Manager regarding project specifics and to the Head of Department for resource management and work quality.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and discuss the project execution strategy with the Project Team (PD/PM and PEM) and the Head of Department, ensuring its implementation throughout the project lifecycle. For specialized topics requiring advanced expertise, the Project Manager will collaborate with Group Leaders.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the Project Engineering Manager and fellow Project Leaders to establish and uphold project procedures, ensuring compliance with departmental guidelines and applicable standards.
  • Ensure the coordination of engineering activities across various locations, maintaining document consistency with contractual obligations, adherence to timelines, fulfillment of contract requirements, budget compliance (both financial and man-hours), and quality of deliverables, under the guidance of the Project Engineering Manager and in cooperation with other Project Lead Engineers.
  • Actively supervise and contribute to the preparation of project technical specifications, tender requests, tabulations, and technical follow-ups on supplies.
  • Oversee and engage in the development of electrical engineering systems.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers regarding all technical aspects relevant to the discipline.
  • Provide support during construction and commissioning phases of the plant.

Required Qualifications :

  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering within plant engineering sectors, particularly in petrochemical, oil & gas, and power industries.
  • At least two years of experience in a project leadership role.
  • Proven experience in construction and commissioning activities as an electrical field supervisor.
  • Experience in managing international teams distributed across various locations.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  • Willingness to travel for short and extended periods, both domestically and internationally.
