Job Title: Project Engineering Manager

Job Summary:

Alstom is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineering Manager to lead the development of electrical engineering projects for our railway infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the quality, costs, and timelines of these projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Predetermine project requirements and manage interfaces
  • Plan and monitor engineering activities, with support from the planner
  • Define the list of deliverables, with support from the project engineer
  • Define the make-or-buy strategy for engineering activities and participate in the selection of external service providers, with support from the site engineering manager
  • Transfer project inputs and support project engineers in their analysis
  • Organize and manage project design reviews
  • Coordinate project engineers
  • Support the project engineer in verifying technical documents and supplier offers
  • Manage the issuance of project documentation to the client and site
  • Manage technical relationships with other company functions (project manager, installation, procurement) and the client

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in the railway sector
  • English language proficiency at level B2
  • Software skills: Microsoft Office (required), AutoCAD (required), Revit (desired), MathLab (desired)
  • Knowledge of control and contract management techniques
  • Soft skills: Leadership, delegation, team working, problem-solving, result-oriented

Location: Rome. Candidates with a qualified profile and a desired location in Bologna or Florence will also be considered.
