About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Specialist to join our team at Starion. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the security governance of the Earth Explorers PDGS and common services.

As an IT Security Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of tasks and activities, including security risk assessments, security requirements establishment, technical documentation assessment, security governance support, and technical documentation production.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and customer-focused mindset. A good understanding of information security management policies, standards, procedures, and risk assessment methodologies is also essential.

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

  • University Degree or equivalent in Computer Sciences, IT, Information Security, Electronic/Communication/Aerospace Engineering or relevant technical domain.
  • At least 3 years proven experience in information security or in a related field.
  • Good knowledge of Information Security management policies / standards / procedures, and Security Risk Assessment methodologies.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving aptitude and customer focused mindset.
  • Ability to produce and assess technical documentation.
  • Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
  • Solution oriented mindset, with a customer focused communication skill.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, tools, and practices such as: Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS), firewalls, anti-virus software, log management tools, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, authentication systems, Cryptography and Public Key Infrastructures (PKI), Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
  • Familiarity with security standards and frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, EBIOS, NIST, GDPR.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent.
