Supply Chain Manager Role

As a Supply Chain Manager at Alstom, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and goods across our global supply chain. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the physical flow of goods, whether internally managed or subcontracted, and ensure compliance with our company's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that employees operate in a safe and healthy work environment that complies with company policies.
  • Manage the physical flow of goods and ensure compliance with AZDP standards.
  • Optimize inventory levels and ensure material availability through effective planning strategies and procurement.
  • Coordinate supplier deliveries and manage the material work package.
  • Manage a team of logistics professionals, including workload calculation, priority setting, and development planning.
  • Provide QCD commitments and ensure physical inventory accuracy.
  • Develop and deploy a continuous improvement roadmap according to APSYS standards.
  • Ensure data integrity for efficient MRP operations and provide reporting to management.
  • Represent the company in front of customers for audits or action plans presentation and follow-up.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably in an international company.
  • Engineering subjects or professional qualifications in supply chain/logistics areas.
  • Experience in supplier relationships management, material needs scheduling, and logistic flows.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, including SAP, with a focus on supply chain management.
  • Strong teamwork and accountability skills, including delegation, encouragement, and support.
  • Operational effectiveness, including execution, delivery, and follow-up.
  • Winning and influencing skills, including negotiation and communication.
  • Risk management and communication skills, including transparency and clear messaging.
  • Fluency in Italian and professional-level English.
