Supply Chain Manager Role

As a Supply Chain Manager at Alstom, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and goods across our global supply chain. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the physical flow of materials, whether internally managed or subcontracted, and ensure compliance with our company's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that employees operate in a safe and healthy work environment that complies with company policies.
  • Manage the physical flow of materials, including procurement and inventory management, to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.
  • Optimize inventory levels and manage supplier deliveries to meet business objectives.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and goods.
  • Manage a team of logistics professionals, including workload allocation, priority setting, and development planning.
  • Provide QCD commitments and manage material work packages to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Provide reporting to management on supply chain KPIs and participate in audits and action plan presentations.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably in an international company.
  • Proven people management skills and experience in supplier relationships management.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, including SAP, with a focus on supply chain management.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
