About the Role
The Italian Pricing Actuary M/F will be responsible for leading the assessment of the conditions for technical feasibility of marketing solutions, contributing to building/modifying the product offer, and ensuring that all current and proposed evolutions are in accordance with our Underwriting Policy and any other appropriate internal guidelines and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with other departments to allow for consideration of all Pricing proposals as well as analysis of current portfolios.
- Attend internal committees for Italian partners to review business initiatives, experience, and other relevant topics.
- Lead the assessment of the conditions for technical feasibility of marketing solutions.
- Contribute to building/modifying the product offer, including contracting, pricing, and new guarantees.
- Check the work of junior actuaries to ensure accuracy and adherence to internal guidelines.
- Accurately apply profitability and stress scenarios tests and check work for accuracy.
- Collect and analyze market and product statistics, benchmarks, and market issues.
- Document new pricing and underwriting schedules for sign-off by Actuarial Manager.
- Prepare and present Business Plans/Business Committee documents for consideration.
- Ensure completion of peer reviews & compliance with processes.
- Perform client portfolio analysis as required and prepare client reports and presentations.
- Liaise with Reserving and Modelling teams to ensure joined-up thinking and a consistent/efficient view from the Actuarial Department.
- Perform experience analysis and assist with updating of pricing assumptions/assessing pricing adequacy.
- Contribute to or lead projects as assigned, including tenders.
- Prepare and contribute to various internal ML presentations and communications as required.
- Supervise/assist/mentor pricing analyst in carrying out analysis and project work.
- Partner with HR in recruitment and integration of new joiners.
- Facilitate development of direct reports, including regular feedback and proactive performance management.
- Assign work to and manage workload of direct reports, ensuring strong governance and accountability of results produced.
- Perform the duties of senior actuary in diffusing knowledge/information within the Actuarial Department.
- Lead and build on the continued engagement and motivation of the team, enhancing all aspects of our CACI culture.
- Drive IER Engagement Survey and GTPW, providing feedback on results and developing action plans.
