Job Title: Senior Advisor to the President and Vice-President

International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Advisor to the President and Vice-President. The successful candidate will provide strategic advice and guidance to the President and Vice-President on key policy and programmatic issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert input and advice on policy and programmatic issues to the President and Vice-President.
  • Develop and implement assigned programs and projects to support special corporate projects or initiatives.
  • Coordinate strategic corporate projects assigned by the President or Vice-President.
  • Review and analyze operational, economic, and financial documents submitted to the Office of the President and Vice-President.
  • Contribute to processes of institutional change and reform.
  • Provide strategic advice on operational, governance, and financial matters across IFAD's functions.
  • Ensure close coordination with legal, compliance, and audit functions.
  • Provide expert advice to the President and Vice-President on a wide range of issues related to the functions and responsibilities of the Office of the President and Vice-President.
Requirements:
  • Advanced university degree in a job-related field.
  • At least eight years of progressively relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in an international financial institution, development cooperation agencies, and the United Nations system.
  • Strong track record in advising senior managers or leaders.
  • Excellent English language skills.
