About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ground Segment System Engineer to join our team at ATG Europe. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of ground segment systems for space systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure the successful delivery of ground segment systems projects.
  • System Design and Development: Lead the design and development of ground segment systems, including the definition of system requirements, technical specifications, and integration plans.
  • Technical Management: Manage the technical aspects of ground segment systems, including the coordination of technical interfaces, the review of technical documentation, and the management of technical budgets and margins.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that ground segment systems meet the necessary security and compliance requirements, including the management of network and software application security.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline, such as Computer Engineering.
  • Experience: At least five years of professional experience in ground segment engineering projects for space systems, with a focus on Phase C/D.
  • Skills: Strong competences in virtualization technologies and hypervisors, including database virtualization. Knowledge of secure network architectures, vulnerability testing, and threat modeling.
  • Tools and Methodologies: Experience with model-based methods, techniques, and tools, such as SysML and UML. Sound knowledge of ground system engineering processes and ground system software life cycles.
  • Language: Fluency in both spoken and written English. Italian skills are desirable.
