Job Description

Thales Alenia Space is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our space-based systems and ground segment architectures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor security measures to protect our space and ground segment architectures.
  • Identify and define system security requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Design and develop secure system architectures, including security risk assessments and vulnerability testing.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems.
  • Prepare and document security operating procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough security risk assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Engineering with a specialization in Information and Communication Technologies or Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Science.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer, with a strong background in security architecture and risk assessment.
  • Hands-on experience with security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, authentication systems, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, risk assessment, cryptographic techniques, key management, and National Security Certifications (Common Criteria, TEMPEST, and Cryptosec).
  • Excellent knowledge of English language, written and spoken, and a good understanding of security frameworks, including NIST, ISO 27001, EU Security Directives, and National Cybersecurity Framework.
