Job Title: Site Superintendent

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team at Prysmian Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the pre-lay activities related to the power cable system, ensuring seamless communication between customers, civil works contractors, and cable laying subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers and third parties for the supervision of pre-lay activities.
  • Interface between customers, civil works contractors, and cable laying subcontractors for planning and coordination of activities.
  • Supervise the laying operation performed by subcontractors, ensuring timely and quality execution.
  • Manage the execution of subcontractors in accordance with the submitted plan and contract requirements.
  • Oversee the backfilling operation, ensuring timely, quality, and cable protection.
  • Ensure site safety rules are enforced to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
  • Comply with internal rules and procedures throughout the process.
  • Support the preparation of method statements and other documentation necessary for site activities.

Requirements:

  • Preferably 2-3 years of proven experience in a construction site context.
  • Knowledge of technical aspects and experience in installation activities on land sites, preferably in the cable industry.
  • Knowledge of technical documentation related to land installation activities.
  • Leadership attitude and capability to guide a team to reach a pre-set target.
  • Good communication skills and relationship approach with clients and subcontractors.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, target orientation, with the ability to manage priorities in coordination with management.
  • Attitude to fast learning and self-commitment.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with basic and common software tools like Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and Internet use.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Availability to frequent trips, domestic and abroad.
  • Availability to spend long periods abroad on site (approx. 60-70% per year).
  • Driving license.
