Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Industrial Decarbonisation Engineer to join our Decarbonisation and Energy Transition team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and leading consulting mandates related to low carbon projects, technical and economic analyses of decarbonization pathways, and market-leading projects supporting investors in the decarbonisation of asset portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Undertake engineering design and development, at different stages of the project
    • Develop and/or implement models for analysing and forecasting:
    • The emissions reduction potential and cost implications of different decarbonization options and technologies
    • Energy data, including energy consumption / demand / tariff analyses, Interval data analysis, grid vulnerability modelling and resilience & adaption measures analysis
    • Conduct non-intrusive site energy audits to identify measures for savings such as lighting, HVAC, metering, fabric, central plant, infrastructure, and renewables.
    • Critical assessment of other consultants and contractors design and proposals
    • Perform independent analysis with limited direction. Support team members with research and technical analysis. Prepare documentation of analysis and research.
    • Lead/Assist in production of reports and presentations.
    • Take responsibility for personal development and enable and support the learning of others
  • Project Management:
    • Profitably manage small projects or project subtasks on time and to budget, to client or Project Manager satisfaction with limited oversight.
    • Manage own time to deliver agreed-to tasks / outcomes to project managers within the agreed time and budget, and to a high quality.
  • Client Development:
    • Identify new or follow-on opportunities from existing projects
    • Support client manager with proposal writing.
    • Contribute to/ participate in client reviews/meetings/discussions
Key Requirements, Skills Knowledge & Expertise
  • Native speaking Italian and/or English with professional level proficiency in the other language
  • 3-5 years' experience in a relevant position
  • Demonstrable effective communication skills both in written reports and oral presentations
  • Degree in Engineering subject or equivalent
  • Ability to be occasionally flexible around hours of working due to travel requirements
