About the Role

We are seeking a Chemical Formulation Specialist to join our R&D coatings laboratory in Pianoro, Bologna. This role will involve performing entry-level analyses, testing, and formulation of new products.

Responsibilities
  • Analytical Development: Perform analyses, tests, and development of new or updated formulas.
  • Site Support Activities: Focus on supporting Quality Control (QC) and formula transfer.
  • Formula Optimization: Work with the process team to ensure productivity and efficiency.
  • Formula Management: Manage formulas in the ERP system.
  • Quality Investigations: Support ARC analysis by investigating quality issues.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide feedback, test results, and data regarding the formulation process and recommend modifications to formulas.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with department policies and procedures as well as applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Customer Support: Respond to standard to moderately complex questions and concerns from plants, research technicians, quality control, and other internal parties regarding development and related programs and services.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (Industrial Chemistry ideally).
  • Demonstrate knowledge of various technologies, instruments, and materials.
  • Understanding of fundamental professional chemistry principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.

The estimated salary for this position is approximately €45,000 - €55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for growth and development within the company.
