Sustainability Expert

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Specialist to join our team at IKEA. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in driving our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies that align with IKEA's overall business goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and consistent engagement on sustainability issues.
• Establish and lead processes to facilitate the concrete and effective alignment of the sustainability strategy and its integration into the store's corporate agenda.
• Communicate internally and externally, the strategy and goals, acting as the company's ambassador on sustainability topics.
• Ensure that the store Action Plan is implemented and periodically checked through the Sustainability Functional Review and other relevant assessments.
• Act as a reference person for co-workers regarding sustainability related matters, contributing to co-worker training and engagement initiatives.
• Work in cooperation with our national and local strategic partners and charitable organizations to ensure shared campaigns and initiatives are effectively planned, executed and communicated.
• Provide sustainability related contents for communication purposes, with special focus on local initiatives.
• Provide an inspiring and motivating direction for the store colleagues on how, together, we can grow IKEA in a sustainable and socially responsible way.

• Demonstrated experience in the field of communication, Corporate Social Responsibility and a strong interest in sustainability issues.
• In-depth knowledge of how to initiate, plan, execute, control and close a project.
• Ability to engage a receiver and create passion for your plans.
• Ability to create a strong network of partners internally and externally to the company.
• Ability to recognize the link between environmental sustainability and the commercial agenda.
• Committed to creating a more sustainable way of living.
• Good analytical and numerical ability.
• Good level of English.
• Self-reliant and motivated with proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
