About the Role
SICIM is a leading construction company established in 1962, offering a wide range of services related to pipeline installation and ancillary facilities for oil, gas, and water transmission and distribution on an international scale.
We are seeking a highly experienced Piping Discipline Expert with 8-10 years of experience in preparing piping & equipment layout, plot plans, MTO, TBE, and FEED as well as detail design (EPC) of greenfield & brownfield projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Quantum of work and effective management of engineering resources within the piping department.
- Effective utilization of engineering resources to achieve maximum completion with minimal man-hours.
- Development of plot plans, detailed design drawings & sketches for process, mechanical equipment, piping general arrangement, equipment layout & piping isometrics.
- Preparation of a detailed piping discipline work execution schedule coordinated with other engineering disciplines.
- Planning of procurement-related activities, including MR preparation, vendor document review/approval cycle, and vendor finalization meetings.
- Participation in proposal development as part of the proposal team in pre-bid meetings with clients.
- Preparation of piping & support MTO & material requisitions for piping items.
- Inter-discipline coordination and responsibility of IDC matrix.
- Familiarity with construction activities and readiness to visit on-site to resolve construction-related problems.
- Preparation of as-built drawings based on RLM drawings/final survey reports.
- Hands-on experience with BIM software like Revit or equivalent AutoCAD 3D, preferred.
- Closely communicate with all project team members and highlight potential design clashes or interferences.
- Work in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, company procedures, and local regulations.
Requirements
Minimum Technical Diploma in Engineering Background with at least 8-10 years of design experience with an engineering consultancy/EPC company working for Industrial plants.
Good experience in 2D & 3D drawings preparation. Should be fully proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent software.
Multi-discipline exposure is required.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, should be fluent in English.
