Overview of the Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Project Quality Manager who will report directly to the Project Quality and HSE Director within the Business Unit Projects at Prysmian Group. This position is pivotal in ensuring the highest quality standards across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities associated with this role include:

  • Assisting the Project Manager in addressing Quality-related issues and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Overseeing the development of Project Quality Plans, Quality Control Plans, and Project Quality Procedures, ensuring compliance with both contractual and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with manufacturing facilities to monitor product quality and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Evaluating the qualifications of suppliers and subcontractors during both the bidding and execution phases, ensuring their quality plans align with project requirements.
  • Organizing and conducting quality training sessions for project teams and stakeholders.
  • Planning and executing quality audits on project processes, manufacturing plants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Managing follow-ups on client quality audits, addressing non-conformities, and resolving complaints effectively.
  • Advocating for project enhancements, capturing lessons learned, and implementing best practices.
  • Assisting in the preparation of project quality reports.
  • Conducting periodic analyses of project data, including objectives, performance metrics, non-conformities, and lessons learned, along with relevant reporting.
  • Ensuring that contract reviews and project closures are executed in accordance with contractual stipulations.

The candidate will also collaborate with the company’s Quality & HSE function for reporting, tendering, and overall quality management activities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in Quality Management, preferably in an EPCI environment, covering manufacturing, site operations, and/or vessel activities.
  • A Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9000 series standards; auditing experience is essential, and lead auditor qualifications are advantageous. Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies, IEC standards, PMI, risk management techniques, and Lean Six Sigma principles/certifications is a plus.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and a collaborative team player.
  • Excellent people management, influencing, and organizational skills, with a strong analytical mindset.
  • High proficiency in computer skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional languages is beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.
