RINA is seeking a highly skilled Railway Field Laboratory Senior Specialist to join its team in Florence, Italy.
The role involves performing assessment and testing validation activities within the railway environment, focusing on mechanical testing activities, particularly brake tests on field, and developing new railway mechanical tests and accreditation ISO 17025.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing assessment and testing activities related to projects in the Railway domain, ensuring thorough evaluation and compliance with industry standards.
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, leading meetings with clients and the assessment team to understand project requirements and expectations.
- Ensuring the timely and successful delivery of assessment and verification plans, actively supporting projects to achieve satisfactory results.
- Mentoring and sharing knowledge with Assessors, contributing to their professional development and growth.
- Conducting activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
- Providing recommendations based on external client feedback to assist in the continuous improvement of service delivery.
- Undertaking project management activities, where applicable, including monitoring the progress of projects and ensuring their successful completion.
- Design verification according to reference standards, conducting structural checks, and ensuring completeness checks on the quality system documentation.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Studies or a Master's Degree in Engineering, and will possess strong competencies in areas such as addressing complex situations, building trust relationships, and making effective decisions.
