Arup is seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer Lead to join our team in Milan, Italy. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering technically demanding projects that make a positive impact on the environment.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Civil Design Engineer with a strong background in civil engineering and experience in a consultancy environment. You will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of site infrastructures, managing internal and external design interfaces, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of site infrastructures on technically demanding projects
  • Manage internal and external design interfaces, including architectural, structural, geotechnical, landscape, mechanical, and electrical disciplines
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality results
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices in digital delivery and BIM

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering and years of experience in a consultancy environment
  • Chartered professional status or in the process of gaining the qualification
  • Strong civil engineering technical design skills in surface water, foul water, energy, roads, and carparks, earthworks, electrical, and fibre utilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and organisational skills
  • Experience with Civil 3D/Revit and other BIM software, including Navisworks and clash detection process
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic Modelling software
