About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Handling and Command Engineer to join our team at Thales Alenia Space. As a key member of our Avionics and Electrical Engineering department, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of the Data Handling System (DHS) of our spacecraft, from requirements definition to design and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement test cases for the Avionic Test Bench and satellite level
  • Prepare and document V&V activities in VCD
  • Support satellite launch phase, including simulations, LEOP, and IOT
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including C&C specification and interface requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
  • At least 5 years of experience in similar roles
  • Fluent in English (C1 and above certification)
  • Strong knowledge of CCSDS/ECSS telemetry and telecommand standards, ECSS Packet Utilization Standard, and SW development standards
  • Experience with multicore processors, time/space partitioning operating systems, and hypervisors
