Job Summary

Acciona Energia is seeking a dedicated Environmental Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As an integral member of our Site Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Team, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and upholding our Site HSE Management Plan and Environmental Plans.

This position will be based on site, working a 5/2 local roster. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental conditions stipulated in permits and commitments outlined in permit applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the HSE Manager and Site Manager team to effectively implement the Site HSE Management Plan and Environmental Plans.
  • Provide expertise in environmental management systems, including ISO 14001.
  • Conduct environmental inspections, reporting, and close out of action items.
  • Monitor contractor activities to ensure adherence to environmental controls.
  • Serve as the primary contact for chemical approvals and oversee the storage, use, and disposal of hazardous substances and dangerous goods.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of environmental management systems, including ISO 14001.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proven track record of prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, judgement, and integrity.
  • Proficiency in conducting environmental inspections and monitoring.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
