Project Development Manager

In this role, you will lead the execution of projects with varying complexity and ensure that all related activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, health, safety, and environmental requirements, cost/profitability targets, and scheduling targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project plans, including scope, financial, schedule, and risk management plans, in collaboration with the Project Controls department.
  • Implement project execution best practices and ABB policies to ensure project success.
  • Monitor and control project progress, efficient resource utilization, project financials, invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.
  • Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage risks, as well as pursue identified opportunities.
  • Capture, analyze, and share lessons learned throughout the project, ensuring the project is formally closed out as per contractual agreements.
  • Drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and customer acknowledgement.
  • Apply contract and claims management in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements with Supply Chain Management, successfully procuring required services, materials, and equipment from external and internal suppliers.
  • Negotiate with Supply Chain Management, address claims, and project changes, serving as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.

Requirements:
  • You are passionate about managing projects and preparing project schedules.
  • You possess strong problem-solving and stress management skills.
  • You hold a technical diploma or degree in management.
  • You are proficient in communicating in English and Italian.
