About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Space Systems Engineer to join our Business Development team at Tyvak International SRL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing innovative nano-satellite vehicle solutions for multiple proposals and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to develop technical solutions for space segment configuration, ground segment, and other related areas.
  • Write comprehensive proposals that effectively present our solutions to customers, demonstrating how requirements will be met and outlining the work logic, problem areas, and mitigation approaches.
  • Interact with customers to gather feedback and provide technical clarifications, ensuring that our solutions meet their needs.
  • Perform technical budgets, analyses, and trade-offs to create presentations and reports that showcase our capabilities.
  • Support the Proposal Manager in creating bid consortia with suitable partners to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Proactively interact with the supply chain to request technical specifications, performances, and costs, and perform trade-offs for the selection of alternatives.
  • Report to Engineering and Business Development Managers for proposals review and iterations.
  • Liaise with members of bid consortia for their contribution to the proposal.
  • Prepare proposal templates and maintain a database of previous proposals and common technical/management sections.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (Master preferred) in a Space-related technical field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in the small satellites industry.
  • Strong technical background in Space System Engineering, including mission analyses, system budgets, thermal analysis, and CAD design/drawing/rendering.
  • Familiarity with EU and International Space Industry players.
  • Ability to evaluate proposals autonomously and assess project feasibility by evaluating engineering and economical-financial constraints.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, including Project and SharePoint.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of business finance, budgeting, and economic principles relevant to space projects.

  • Ability to self-govern with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to establish workload priorities to achieve programmatic or strategic initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to build and maintain professional relationships within the space industry.
  • Commitment to staying updated with the latest technological advancements and industry shifts.
  • Flexibility to face changing priorities and last-minute requests.
  • Ability to provide and receive feedback for collective team development.
  • Good stress retention.
