Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Buyer to join our team.

Location: This role will be situated in Porto Mantovano.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and uphold purchasing planning parameters at the item level to ensure optimal service levels for production and customer needs while minimizing costs, thereby achieving prompt lead times and high delivery accuracy.
• Oversee inventory management by performing regular checks to assess inventory status and placing orders based on the MRP system, production forecasts, and approved supplier conditions.
• Conduct daily reviews of the MRP report and visually inspect inventory to identify requirements, placing orders and expediting as necessary.
• Facilitate the qualification of new suppliers through the designated portal by providing necessary documentation in accordance with internal procedures.
• Process order confirmations and monitor delivery timelines.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with Strategic Purchasing to ensure swift clarification, secure cash discounts, and prevent invoice inaccuracies.
• Address quality complaints with suppliers to uphold Donaldson's standards and mitigate non-quality costs.
• Manage plant purchasing reports (PPV, cost savings, supplier OTD) and implement corrective actions as required.
• Request suppliers for HS codes and country of origin for purchased items, along with LTS declarations.

Education Requirements:

• Technical Diploma or Technical Degree.

Technical Skills & Competencies:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial purchasing, with a solid understanding of technical drawings.
• Proficiency in both Italian and English, both written and spoken, along with strong administrative, organizational, commercial, and PC skills.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with SAP and/or Oracle systems.
